This month has already had a number of cute moments and the first one I want to comment on is Jordan. I was standing beside him waiting for the elevator when suddenly I hear:
"Okay, mommy! I will kiss you!" and he then proceeded to kiss my hand. I felt like a queen!
"Okay, mommy! I will hug you!" and he proceeded to hug me. I, of course, hugged him back!
'Okay, mommy! I will love you!" and we both proceed to walk and hug our way onto the elevator. It was a lovely moment of unconditional love.
Another cute story is actually from last night. Jordan and Aidan have been watching Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom. Jordan in particularly loves it and is learning all kinds of English vocabulary from this show and Peppa Pig. We were making finger puppets together. After the third puppet was made he turns and says to me, "I'm good at making things, so I think I'm an elf!" I agreed with him that he was an elf and not a fairy! He grabbed his little suitcase which was a Christmas present after putting all the finger puppets in it and pranced around the room proclaiming, "I'm going on holiday! I'm going on holiday!" I laughed rather loudly because he sounded exactly like Ben Elf!
Aidan's claim to fame at the moment is he is an early riser. For the last few morning, he has woken up at 6:30 bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to start the day. I am usually in the middle of an exercise routine, and it has been challenging to find get things ready for him at this unreal hour. This child can learn to sleep in a little longer!
Justin managed to move beyond his less than helpful "I can't find my ______!" self. I was looking for a bag that held a number of papers from church and various other things. Justin calmly asked, "Where did you last see it?" I answered the bedroom and he proceeded to go into the bedroom and came out with the bag.
"Is this it?"
"Yes," I replied completely astonished. "Where was it?"
"It was on the bed!"
Apparently, my eyes are not as good as they used to be. And thank you Justin!
